Un'eclissi solare attiva un portale magico attraverso il tempo e un giovanissimo studente Victor, dal 21° secolo si ritrova catapultato in un'epoca migliaia di anni indietro. Victor non impiega molto a riconoscere nel giovane Alyoshka, nel potente Ilya e nell'austero Dobrynya i leggendari bogatyr (i mitici guerrieri della tradizione slava orientale). ?I tre vivono combattendo i Cumani, che tentano di distruggere Rusichi a ogni costo, usando le armi e la magia nera.
